Kinetika are delighted to be part of the Royal Opera House’s Costume Party on Saturday 11 July as part of their Fused Festival. Costume Party is an afternoon of free festive fun for the whole family, with the chance to dress up in the Royal Opera House’s famous costumes, make your own outfits and accessories, meet the opera diva Carmen, watch the Firebird dance, and much more.

Kinetika will be opening their studios at High House and running a batik workshop from 12 noon. Visitors will have the chance design and paint their own batik – and take it home afterwards!  And we’ll also welcome walkers who have taken part in one of the Thurrock 100 walks, who will arrive at High House with their flag at around 2pm.

There will also be a preview of the Deloitte Ignite silks, 12 spectacular new silks commissioned by the Royal Opera House for the annual Deloitte Ignite Festival. The silks depict the history of the Royal Opera House and will be hung from the roof of the magnificent Paul Hamlyn Hall throughout the opening weekend (4 -6 September ) of the month long festival.

So please come along on 11 July, we can’t wait to see you there!
